Formulation & Reconstitution	Lyophilized from nanodisc solubilization buffer (20 mM Tris-HCl, 150 mM NaCl, pH 8.0). Normally 5% – 8% trehalose is added as protectants before lyophilization. Please see Certificate of Analysis for specific instructions. Do not use solvents with a pH below 6.5 or those containing high concentrations of divalent metal ions (greater than 5 mM) in subsequent experiments.
Storage & Shipping	Store at -20'C to -80'C for 12 months in lyophilized form. After reconstitution, if not intended for use within a month, aliguot and store at -80°C (Avoid repeated freezing and thawing). Lyophilized proteins are shipped at ambient temperature.Protect from light.
Background	Negative control-synthetic nanodisc can be used as isotype control for nanodisc displaying membrane proteins in various applications. The protein in the nanodisc is a fusion protein, divided into three parts. N-terminal extracellular region is Flag tag. C-terminal intracellular region is EGFP-Strep tag. The transmembrane region of this protein utilizes the transmembrane region of platelet-derived growth factor receptor beta (PDGFRB).

Figure 1. Elisa plates were added with serial diluted N-Flag, C-Strep Tag Negative control-Nanodisc on an anti-Flag monoclonal antibody pre-coated (0.2μg/per well) plate. Strep tactin-HRP (1:5000) was used as detection antibody. From above data, the EC50 for Strep tactin-HRP binding with Negative control-Nanodisc is 283.0ng/ml.
